Elara is a presence before anything else
Elara doesn't need to be seen to be remembered. There's something in the way she moves, the way she enters, the way she leaves. She is not for the moment, she is what stays after it.
Why Elara
When we chose the name, we wanted something felt rather than simply seen. Elara, one of Jupiter's moons, and in mythology a figure of understated beauty, something almost secret. Protected, and far from the obvious.
Not the loudest presence in the room, but the one that stays with you long after.
Made In Portugal
Every Elara piece is cut and sewn in Portugal, in small runs, by people who care how a thing is made. The linen we kept coming back to is woven in the north. We'd rather make less, and make it properly.
Capsule Philosophy
We work in capsules, not collections. A handful of pieces, released a season at a time, each one chosen to be worn with the others, and worn again long after. Less, but everything you reach for.
